The Original Art is an annual exhibit (46th) created to showcase illustrations from the year’s best children’s books published in the U.S. This juried exhibition considers hundreds of books with 2025 and 2026 publication dates. A panel of renowned illustrators, art directors, and designers selects over 200 works for display at the Museum of Illustration. Top books are awarded Gold and Silver Medals, and newcomers are eligible for the Dilys Evans Founder’s Award.
